Randy was born and raised in Shattuck, Oklahoma. He attended Panhandle State where he met and married his wife Sonja. Both Randy and Sonja entered the teaching profession. Joe started as an Ag Ed Instructor and his wife Sonja as an elementary teacher. Randy finished his career as an administrator retiring in 2019 as Superintendent of Shattuck Public Schools. His wife Sonja still teaches elementary classes. After retirement Randy resumed farming and ranching full time. Randy and Sonja have three grown children Blake, Brooke and Chase all three are involved in agriculture.
